Earthquake Update

Hey all,

As I'm sure you've all heard about the earthquake near Sendai I thought it would be good to post a quick update that I'm alright. We've officially heard from all of the UAF students. We've all come out relatively unscathed. One of our students is in Sendai, but she's been able to keep us updated from her cell phone. The exchange students in Kitami are all accounted for to the best of my knowledge as well. We're just hoping that everyone else is ok.

Those with friends and family in Sendai, amongst other places have been fairly worried, but we've made sure to spread information websites so they can hopefully find out if people are ok.

For those who haven't heard, this earthquake rang in at 8.9, and is the largest earthquake in Japan's recorded history. It is also the 5th largest since 1900 in the world, and 7th in the world's recorded history, or so I'm told. I have not researched the world ratings for myself, so excuse any errors.

The best we can do now is keep those effected in our prayers.

Be happy you're literate...
